Jason Boyd

Friday 23rd October 1998 saw the induction of the Revd. Jason Boyd as minister to the Church. Hailing from Saskatchewan, Canada, Jason studied for the ministry in both Canada and then Manchester where he gained his Masters in Theology and was Ordained. He also met and married his wife Viviane there before receiving the call to Cumnock. Arriving when their baby daughter, Naomi was only weeks old, Jason and his family settled well and welcomed Sonya and Jeremy a few years later. 

Jason's passion for preaching was combined with an insatiable thirst for learning and theology, and he continued his academic studies during his time in Cumnock (he is now Revd. Dr Jason Boyd).  Music was also a passion for Jason. A trained singer, he was always keen to be involved in the music ministry in the church, singing solos and as part of the church choir. 

Jason served the church and the wider community fruitfully and was keen to encourage fellowship with other Congregational churches through the Congregational Federation and involvement in Assemblies and Conferences.

Jason moved to Oxfordshire in December 2008 to serve in Witney Congregational Church. He is currently the minister at Highbury Congregational Church in Cheltenham.
