Becoming a Christian

Some verses from the bible to help you- 

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:9

For by grace you have been saved through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Ephesians 2:8

To become a Christian is a free gift from God, and the most important thing you'll ever do. It is about being a follower of Jesus Christ and having a relationship with him. If you are ready to take the  step of becoming a Christian and joining God's family, you may wish to pray a prayer like the prayer below. The exact words don't matter - God looks at the heart.

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour.

Amen.
