Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a Children’s programme?
Yes. We run a creche and children’s programme at our 11am Sunday service. Children begin in the church and move through to the church hall after 10-15mins.
What time should I arrive?
Our Services start at 11am and 6:30pm and people tend to arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time. At the 11am service, there will be some church members on the door to welcome you from about 20 minutes before the start of the service.
Is there a dress code?
No. There’s no dress code so please just come wearing your ‘normal’ clothes.
Will I have to join in?
During our service we sing together and everyone is welcome to join in but there is no compulsion to join in with this or any other part of our service if you don’t feel comfortable doing so.
Will I need to give money?
No. Most of our church members give directly via the bank and we don’t pass round a collection basket during our services. There is a collection box near the door at the 11am service and some of our members choose to give to the work of the church this way but there is no compulsion to do so.
Do I need to bring a Bible?
The Bible is central to all we’re doing together during our Sunday services so if you have one, it will be helpful to follow along with the reading and preaching. However all bible readings are displayed on the screen at the front to follow along with. We also have plenty physical copies of the bible, so if you wish one, please ask.
What about Communion?
We observe Communion at the 11am Service on the first Sunday of each month. All who love the Lord are welcome to take part - you do not need to be a member. If you are not yet a Christian, we do not want you to feel awkward by what is taking place, simply pass the trays with bread and wine along to the next person as the deacons distribute it. The wine served is non-alcoholic grape juice.
